Brazilian Butt Lift

A nice behind symbolizes youth, fitness and sensuality. However, age, gravity, heredity or weight fluctuation might be keeping you from having the attractive, shapely backside you desire. When exercises just aren’t enough, seek the best Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) in Milwaukee or Waukesha, performed by Board Certified Plastic Surgeons.

What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?

A Brazilian Butt Lift is a popular cosmetic procedure at Illume Cosmetic Surgery that involves the liposuction of fat from one area of the body, often times the hips and lower abdomen, that is then transferred to the buttocks to create more fullness. The removal of fat from one area and transfer to another area helps to create the desired hourglass look that is often times sought after and seen in celebrities like Jennifer Lopez or Kim Kardashian.

Gluteoplasty or Buttock Augmentations can reshape and improve the appearance of the entire lower back and buttock region. Many celebrities prefer the Brazilian Butt Lift over artificial implants because of the more natural appearance. Getting BBL surgery provides long term buttock enhancements.

What is the difference between a butt lift and a Brazilian Butt Lift?

A Brazilian Butt Lift is a cosmetic surgical procedure that involves using liposuction to remove far from one area of the body and trasnfering it to the buttocks to create more fullness. Most of the time, the fat is taken from areas like the hips or lower abdomen. The removal of fat from one area and transfer to another area helps to create the desired hourglass look that is popular among many difference celebrities.

Using butt implants is a very different procedure that requires the plastic surgeons to use silicone filled products that are placed deep within the tissues of each buttock. While the results of a regular butt lift can still be satisfactory, the results of silicone gel implants may be considered less natural than that of a Brazilian Butt Lift. It is best to talk with your doctor about the goals of your procedure to understand what would be best.

Gluteoplasty or Buttock Augmentations can reshape and improve the appearance of the entire lower back and buttock region. The ideal candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift can be anyone looking to enhance the shape of their body. Many celebrities prefer the Brazilian Butt Lift over artificial implants because of the more natural appearance.

The Brazilian Butt Lift Procedure

The Brazilian Butt Lift is typically performed under general anesthesia, but in procedures where a very minimal amount of fat is transferred, your board certified cosmetic surgeon may elect to use local anesthetics (numbing medication) instead.

Your surgeon will start with liposuction to remove the fat from other areas of your body that may have excess fat, such as your hips, stomach and thighs. The areas to target are decided prior to surgery based on where the most volume can be obtained and what areas the patient would like to see reshaped. Liposuction itself involves making incisions in the skin and then use a tube to remove fat from the body.

The fat stores that have just been removed from your body are purified and readied for injection into your buttocks.

Your surgeon finishes by injecting the processed fat into the specific areas of the buttocks to create a more founded, full look. They make three to five incisions around the buttocks for the fat transfers.

Both liposuction and fat transfer incisions are closed with stiches. We then apply a compression garment against the affected areas of the skin to minimize your risk of bleeding and reduce scarring. Your surgeon or health professional will go over the recovery steps with you both before the surgery and after to ensure the healing process goes smoothly.

Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery Benefits

Unlike other forms of buttock surgery, such as placement of silicone buttock implants, a Brazilian Butt Lift is touted for providing more natural-looking results while also creating more roundness and projection in your backside.  It can also help address certain issues such as the sagging and shapelessness that sometimes occurs with age.  You might also consider the procedure if you’re bothered by figure imbalances that make it difficult to wear clothing comfortably.

Another benefit to the Brazilian Butt Lift is that there is a lower risk of infection compared to silicone buttock implants.  It has a significantly better safety profile than other substances, such as silicone caulking and sealants, that are sometimes illegally injected into the buttocks by people not qualified to perform the procedure

Good Candidates for BBL

A good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is someone who is in good overall health, has realistic expectations for the results, and has enough fat in other areas of their body to be used for the procedure. The ideal candidate for a BBL is someone who wants to enhance the shape and size of their buttocks and has excess fat in areas such as the abdomen, hips, or thighs that can be harvested for the transfer.

It’s important that candidates for BBL have good skin elasticity and are not significantly overweight or underweight, as this can affect the results of the procedure. Candidates should also be willing to follow post-operative instructions, such as avoiding sitting directly on the buttocks for a certain amount of time after surgery, to ensure the best possible outcome. As with any surgical procedure, it’s important to consult with a qualified and experienced plastic surgeon to determine if you are a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift.
